You Have to Have a Story to Tell

Today’s Tip Sheet is going to be really short
and sweet.

When you try to create value for your business
to bring in more customers, try and forget the
hype and the sales pitches that everyone used
to use in the 70′s and 80′s.

Those days are long gone.

People don’t want to hear that they’ve won a
contest or a have a bunch of balloons in the
parking lot.

You can’t just yell a little louder than the
guy next door, yelling the hype a little
louder and hope that the customers will come
a running.

Just as my beautiful girlfriend has taught me,
you have to be sincere and you have to tell the
truth about your business.

Tell the story of where you came from. Tell the
story of how your product will actually help the
customer and tell the story of how you really
want the customer’s business and you will bend
over backwards to get it.

It will get you a lot farther than the a lot
of the stuff they are mailing these days.

…and you might even get a few customers in
the process.
