Who is Joshua Black?
Starting from humble beginnings he endured many business start-ups of his own. These include: real estate, canvassing door-to-door, multiple MLM businesses, information products, and landscaping before discovering his passion for businesses development in 2000.
He started the Underdog Millionaire Blog in 2009 with one purpose only, and that’s to help other small business owners bootstrap their way to greatness and financial freedom.
Joshua Black got tired of all the regurgitated small business advice out there. Most of it was for people with deep pockets, but there was little information out there for the underdog, the person from humble beginnings with a small business that needs a little push towards huge success. So, from that frustration, the Underdog Millionaire Blog was born.
Joshua Black has created a ton of different products (over 12 and counting) designed to help every aspect of growing your business, as well as a FREE, daily Underdog Millionaire Tip Sheet that’s worth its weight in gold.
He continues to refine and develop more products, all with you in mind; the small business underdog.
Joshua has written over 1001 articles that’ve been published all over the Internet. With tens of thousands of customers and students from more than 10 different countries, he delivers a universal approach towards bringing in more customers to your business without spending money that you don’t have to.
Joshua currently lives in Michigan, USA where he can occasionally be found teaching karate (he has a couple black belts), working out, walking his dog, hanging out with his wife, or conducting obsessive amounts of small business research at the local library and bookstores.
He does all of this so he can share this cutting-edge information with you to make your business nothing short of the best that it can be.

15 interesting things about Josh:
1. He’s an Eagle Scout (so if your small business is ever stranded in the woods and needs to live off the land until help arrives, he’s your guy).
2. He is left handed and proud of it.
3. He once managed over 80 employees for 9 years at a billion dollar corporation and loved hated (almost) every minute of it.
4. He studies marketing, business, copywriting, and sales with such an addiction that there is probably a place that he needs to go get help for it… or at least a support group.
5. When he’s not talking or writing about small business you can usually find him learning about it… or daydreaming about it.
6. Has started, developed, finished, succeeded-at, or failed through 15 different businesses.
7. Uses a pseudonym for a last name, because Joshua Black sounds super-cool compared to his real last name (shhhhhh, don’t tell anyone). He really likes Johnny Cash, the “man in black.”
8. Shaves his head, because the comb-over is sooo 1982.
9. Is so insanely passionate about small business and financial freedom that he tattooed his financial freedom date on his arm (gave himself a 10 year time limit). Not there yet, but getting close.
10. His dog’s name is Cash (after his idol, Johnny Cash) and the dog gives high-fives for a biscuit, as well as being one of the best marketing professors on earth (as you will periodically see in various posts). He also is Joshua’s main traveling companion on frequent idea-generating walks.
11. He has a bachelors degree in Industrial Design, which is the study of how products are designed and developed from start to finish, as well as their interaction with the people that use them.
12. He has a secret love for info-mercials and cannot get enough of the “19.95″ products that you see on late-night TV… mostly for the novelty value, although he really likes the new pressure washer that he just bought for cleaning the patio (yep, only $19.95). What is the info-mercial “standard” price in your country?
13. He is addicted to cheese.
14. He is obsessed with Molskine notebooks and always has one in his pocket, just waiting for that next crazy idea to pop out of nowhere. They are just fun to hold.
15. He is engaged married to the most beautiful woman on earth.
