In case you don’t know how an affiliate program works, it’s pretty simple. All you have to do is post a small image of the book on your site (or even a text link), provide a thoughtful and reasonable evaluation of the book, have people click on your affiliate link, and if they buy you get the commision from each sale.

That’s all there is to it.

It’s really EASY to sign up for the affiliate program, here’s how:

1. Sign up on e-junkie as an affiliate (unless you are one already).  (add my affiliate money-making code here)

2. Once you’ve signed up, click here and join the Underdog Millionaire affiliate program!.

3.  Once you’ve done that, go to the “affiliates admin” section and hit the “get affiliate code” link.

4. Select the “Outer Limit Productions LLC.” affiliate program and hit the “get affiliate code” button.

5. In the dropdown menu select which book you want to promote (in this case Underdog Marketing 101 towards the bottom) and generate the affiliate code for that particular book.

6. You’ll get two options for affiliate links. One that goes to the sales page for the book, explaining everything in detail, and the other goes straight to the shopping cart where they can purchase right now (if you are going to try and create a multi-step sales process to help sell more books, you will probably want to send most customers to the sales page instead of the shopping cart right away).

For best results-

I recommend that you purchase a copy of the book for yourself. This is very important when making a recommendation to your audience. You want to provide more content and more thoughtful information than the empty recommendations that many affiliate pages are currently offering. Your customers will thank you for it and your sales will show it.

5 Tips to make your Affiliate Program Even MORE Successful:

1. Promoting the book straight to your email list will convert the highest. You will make sales from your blog, but email is still king when you want to convert your customers to buyers.

2. Include a bonus of your own that you can award to anyone buying from your affiliate link. This will keep people from leaving and coming back through some other site, or typing in my link directly. Just have the person email you a receipt, which you can match to your sales numbers and you can send them the added bonus (which would be on TOP of the huge pile of bonuses that I’m already offering).

3. Give the book a VERY personal recommendation. This is where you need to be familiar with the Underdog Millionaire site. You can tell your audience how I have helped you personally, and how the book is a genuine, powerful way to bring in FREE customers to their business.

4. Tweet your affiliate links over Twitter. Make sure that you are Tweeting during peak times, and that you send your message out over multiple days. This will make sure that you get the message to as many people on your feed as possible and it will also help remind them that you have something really powerful to offer.  Don’t send exactly the same Tweet every time. Change it up.  Adding a link on Facebook will also help.

5. Mention your promotion multiple times. Most people don’t make a purchase on the first mention of a product. Although I have tried to make this as irresistable as I can, the truth is that most prospects will need multiple contacts  to the product in order for them to make a purchase decision. Create your own “mini launch” of the product and promote it over a period of days or weeks. This will get the rest of the customers that were sitting on the sidelines.
