So I was flipping through the news on-line this morning and I came across a tip that we can all learn from.
Small business owner are notorious for
wanting to do everything themselves.
However, this is a path that can lead you
to overwork and can stagnate the growth of
your business.
If you can stomach it, you should outsource
as much of the daily monotonous tasks as
possible and leave the good stuff for your
self.
Case in point:
British Airways recently showed the entire
world how stupid it could be, by advertising
its new boarding pass app for the iPhone.
A close-up shot reveals that the name on
the boarding pass is none other than the
great, American, hero- Osama Bin Laden.
I really hope someone loses their job
over that one. How can anyone put a fake
boarding pass for the biggest jackass in
the world on an advertisement for an airline?
I will tell you how.
They outsourced the worst thing they could
possibly do to their business.
They outsourced their marketing, and then
probably phoned it in, instead of actually
reviewing the advertisement.
I wanted to share this one with you today
as a lesson for your small business.
There is a hard truth of life out there,
but it’s something that you always need
to keep in your head:
No one cares about the success of your
business as much as you do.
Marketing drives your entire business
and although you SHOULD outsource many
different parts of your business that are
taking away your valuable time for other
things, you should NEVER outsource your
sales or marketing.
EVER.
It will keep you from having good old
Osama board your plane.
So, how is an Underdog small business
owner supposed to run their own marketing
plan on a limited budget?
for FREE, that’s how.
In about a month, I will be releasing my
latest book that will give you 101 different
ways that you can bring customers into your
business.
It’s a huge collection of nothing but free
ways that you can get a big bag of customers
without having to rely on some college
graduate with a bad attitude in an entry level
job, screwing up your billion dollar airline image.
In the meantime, watch your boarding passes.
Until tomorrow,
Joshua Black
P.S. I am going to increase the prices
of my products on or before June 12th.
If there has been something that you had your
eye on, I would suggest that you pick it up
soon, because most of them will DOUBLE.

Mark,
Welcome aboard. Thanks for stopping by.

Joshua,
Wow, what a mistake. They take for granted
the power they have and now it will cost them
a lot. That is the different between big and small.
We take more pride because we don’t have those
resources that the big wigs have.
Thanks for sharing this example.

Tommy,
Very true. It’s critical for the small business owner to make sure that he/she leaves their pride stamp on everything that they put out.

Thank you for the lesson.
I hope I will not make the same mistake as British Airways did.
