I got really bad food poisoning or
something over the weekend. Plus,
probably didn’t help that I washed
down a foot-long spicy sub with a
giant cup of ice cream and then a
big glass of milk on top of it.

…in fact I still don’t fell 100%

But today’s Tip Sheet has nothing
to do with my lousy eating habits
and EVERYTHING to do with a tip
that I picked up while I was dealing
with all that.

You see, I needed some serious relief.

I would have done just about anything
and paid just about anything in order
to get my sandwich to stop wrestling
with my ice cream all weekend.

I had a problem and it needed a solution.

I was someone’s perfect customer.

This is what small business is all about,
taking the customer’s problem and
delivering them a solution on a silver
platter.

Don’t try to INVENT a problem for them
to have and then also solve it.

Take a problem that already exists, become
the only one on earth with the perfect
solution and let people know about it.

If you try to invent first, then find a
market later, it’s going to be a long road
of failures. Believe me, I know.

So, as the nicer weather creeps up upon
us, don’t forget to keep reminding your customers
that you are still in business.

Don’t forget to tell people that you
have the ultimate solution to their ultimate
stomach ache.

If you want to have the ultimate marketing

need to start with a unique selling proposition
(USP).

This is the biggest promise that you can
make your customer. The biggest promise that
will show them how you are the only person that
can solve their nasty case of indigestion in
the easiest way possible.
