Awhile ago, cattle used to be branded with
the symbol of the ranch from which they
came.

Sneaky little naughty cattle rustlers
used to have extra brands that they
could use to add on the brands from
the cows they stole.

These dirt bags could amass a huge
amount of stolen cattle to their own
ranches, and by changing the brands,
essentially made the cows [...]
