Today’s post is all about thinking big.
Yea, yea, yea… I know you’ve heard it all
before, but this time it’s serious.
If you are not thinking BIG for your business
you might as well pack up right now.
You need to have a future vision for your
business. You need to have a BIG dream and
you need to have a specific date for that
dream to come true.
If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll
never get there, right?
When I design a new business, I get out a
huge piece of poster board (any big piece
of paper will work).
Lay out a product pipeline with multiple
streams of income going into your business
One product will not feed you for the
long haul.
You need to lay out a plan so that you
can develop complimentary products to
continue to feed your audience.
For example, I have a 3 year goal of
creating 100 information products of
various sizes (I’m a workaholic, so
your personal goal may differ, but that’s
why it’s your goal).
Once I get close to my goal, I’m going to
raise the bar even higher.
You’re never DONE with your business.
As a learned from Gene Simmons in one of
his books, if you are not doing something
everyday to add new money into your
business, you are losing money.
You can NEVER just stay the same in
business.
You have to think BIG.
It doesn’t matter if your business
brings in $10 per year or $10,000,000.
What are you going to do this year so
that next year is bigger?
Map out a plan with a series of products
or services.
Map out a customer stream for each
product line, and where those customers
will come from.
Remember that you never want a one-legged
stool, so don’t count on a single source
for all of your revenue.
If you on-line go off, if your off, go on.
Revise your BIG plan periodically. Make
sure you put down some crazy ideas too.
Don’t be scared, it’s just a piece of
paper.
If you always wanted to invest in a chicken
farm, write it down.
If you want your business to expand into
collectible doll heads, write it down.
Create your own flow chart, starting with
your current idea and ending with your
BIG goal.
Don’t forget to have dates for each milestone.
Without a date, you will never work on it.
I have a 10 year goal that I am so serious
about, that I got the date tattooed on my arm.
That is 100% true.
How serious are you about your business?
Go waaaaay out. Think about 5 years, 10 years,
maybe even 20 years out.
If you are not serious about achieving you goal
you are just a kid playing in the sandbox.
Ok, now get out there, put on your Underdog
Millionaire crash helmet, buckle the chin
strap and…
Think BIG!

P.S. If you are want to think of ways to broaden
your product offering easily, look into creating
your own information products. It’s a
bootstrapper’s paradise. Go to:
