When I surveyed everyone a few days ago, I got
quite a few responses from people that had
lost their jobs and were looking to start a
business.
This can be a REALLY hard thing to do,
especially when you don’t have any more cash
coming in.
Well, here is a business that you can start with
nothing more than a phone, a computer, and an
internet connection.
It’s called being a copywriter.
Copywriting is a timeless job that will always
have a high demand.
Almost every single piece of advertising out
there has been touched by a copywriter at one
point or another.
Full time copywriters make tons of cash (well
into the six-figure area) and you can work
whenever you want.
You can get jobs from small business, non-profit,
big companies, mail order houses, infomercial-type
products…
You name it, there is a need for a copywriter.
You will need to collect your direct mail and cut
out magazine ads to get yourself a “swipe file”
to grab ideas from.
All good copywriters keep them.
I know I have a huge one for my projects.
There are many good books and courses out there
where you can study the whole process in depth as
well.
You will need to have a basic contract done through
an attorney so that you don’t get screwed.
You can work at a flat rate, such as $15,000 for a
sales letter, or you can get a commission from each
sale generated.
I recommend working on a flat rate, so that you
don’t have to worry about looking into the
business owner’s books to make sure they aren’t
cheating you.
This is also a business you can do on the side to
make some extra cash while you still keep your
main business.
