and so far one of the most popular items
on there is the question about big exposure
on a tiny budget.
Anyway, I thought that I would talk about
a little secret that you can use to get
a whole big, bad bag of exposure without
paying a dime for it.
…just a little bit of your time, cuz hey,
nothing is ever really FREE right?
The secret is at your local library.
This is a powerful tool that you can use
to build up a network of strong customers that
will stick with you for a long time.
I’m talking about giving free 30 minute-1 hour
talks.
People sign up in advance (pre-qualified customers).
You teach them something specific that deals
directly with your business, but you don’t sell
them during the lecture (provide value).
You are now a teacher standing in front of a
class (proving expert status).
Since you are GIVING before you RECEIVE, you
will grab a whole lot of leads each time you
do this (establishing trust).
With a little creativity you can use this for
any business. If you have a group of customers
that you serve, you can give a talk.
…just prepare a little in advance so that
you don’t look like an amateur on a your
first day.
After the lecture, pass out your business
cards and follow up with people.
